LTStraipsnyje, siekiant įvertinti muzikos gimnazijų, konservatorijų ir muzikos mokyklų programų tęstinumą, kaip sąlygą įgyti reikiamą profesionalaus muziko kompetenciją, pirmiausia pristatoma profesionalaus muziko rengimo Lietuvoje sistema. Atlikus studentų apklausą (raštu) ir išsiaiškinus, jog sunkiausi studijų dalykai yra solfedžio ir muzikos istorija, vėliau atlikta šių dalykų programų analize. Analize parode, jog siekiant vientisumo, pereinamumo, nuoseklumo, studijų kokybės ir efektyvumo, profesionalių muzikų rengimo institucijos turėtų suderinti programas, kad jos vestų į tolesnes studijas, o ne baigtųsi be tęstinumo galimybes, ypač atkreipiant dėmesį į sunkiausiai „įkandamus“ dalykus. Tai suteiktų bent jau teorines galimybes pakelti stojamųjų egzaminų į aukštąją mokyklą lygį.
