ENThe globalization processes taking place in the world with all their advantages and disadvantages determine sudden geopolitical, economic and technological changes, which inevitably affect European Union, the economical space of which Lithuania intends to integrate in, so at the same time they affect Lithuania as well. Globalization challenges force state management institutions and business organizations to improve constantly management's effectiveness, in such a way guaranteeing the competitiveness of the state and its economical subjects. This would be the answer to globalization and Euro integration challenges. Today theorists and practicians spend a lot of time trying to elucidate the concept of effectiveness. The indetermination, free interpretation of this concept doesn't' allow to evaluate monosemantically the final results, received with the help of management. The principles of increasing the effectiveness of state and economical subjects' management under the conditions of globalization and European integration are formulated in this article. The concept of management's effectiveness is defined more exactly. The article presents different attitudes of various authors towards the same phenomenon. Further the article gives the review of state economic policy, the theories of increasing the effectiveness of business organizations’ management and formulates the principles of increasing the effectiveness of state and economical subjects' management.State management institutions, reacting to the challenges of globalization and integrating into the common European Union's space will have to orientate state management policy to guarantee the competitiveness in the main strategic directions of the activity. This task could be performed successfully decentralizing the management, ensuring the self-government of the regions, legalizing by the laws uniform activity conditions for all economical subjects without any exception, conforming the interests of management institutions and business organizations of all the levels for the common welfare of all the residents of the country.
