ENIn the process of labour training a very important role is played by a positive disposal towards labour activities. A positive disposal helps to do the work better and quicker, to perceive the significance and to realize the objective of the work. Having an objective, the child is more careful in learning to do the work, he uses more attempt to do it better and willfully tries to overcome difficulties, he understands the importance of his work. The independence trained in the previous stage of development in one type of activities grows in the course of time into inclination to do different kinds of work, short-term emotional states turn into a feeling of responsibility, ability to work-info firm skills. The subject of our investigation was the disposal of the first class pupils towards labour activities. For this aim we have interrogated 132 first class pupils in Klaipeda, Palanga and Gargždai schools. The analysis of the results of our investigation permitted to make a conclusion that the first class pupils like labour activities. Children attempt to satisfy their cognition, communication and cooperation needs. The first class pupils give preference to paper folding activities (41.0%). Girls like cutting, doing small and accurate work. Boys prefer constructing. The most unpopular work among the first class pupils is gluing. The main reason of it (24.4 percent) - insufficiently formed labour skills.The most difficult action for children is cutting (34.8 percent), modelling (19.8 percent), gluing (19.8 percent), folding (13.6 percent) and constructing (12.9 percent). It may be related to weak development of the small muscles of hands. Most children prefer working together with all the class (44.7 percent). The first class pupils are eager to participate in the collective work, to communicate and cooperate, to know each other better and to reach common result. To the opinion of the first class pupils, their parents (51.5 percent) are doing much work at home, in the garden, in the village. We think, the children have a good sample to follow in their nearest environment. 86.4 percent of the first class pupils have their duties at home. But only 34.8 percent of children do the work at home on their own will. [Text from author]
