LTStraipsnyje pateikiamas taikomasis empirinis tyrimas, kurio esme sudaro Mažeikių rajono mokyklų tinklo pertvarkos programos vertinimas. Ekspertų apklausos būdu nustatyti Mažeikių rajono mokyklų tinklo pertvarkos programos privalumai ir trūkumai. Tyrimo pradžioje keltos hipotetinės prielaidos pasitvirtino tik iš dalies: Mažeikių rajono mokyklų tinklo pertvarkos programa vertinama palankiai, tačiau turi daug trūkumų. Švietimo ekspertų nuomonė patvirtino hipotetine prielaidą, kad realizuojant programa stinga modernaus administravimo, koordinavimo, informacinio palaikymo. ENThe article analyses the reorganisation programme of school system in Mažeikiai district. The main method of this research is an oral interview as well as a qualitative interview. The protocol (questionnaire of a qualitative interview) was designed for the research. Seventeen experts in education from Mažeikiai district partisipated in the survey. The method of content analysis was applied for processing the research data and for data analysis - a logical - inductive method. The results of the survey enabled to define the weaknesses and strengths of the reorganisation programme of school system in Mažeikiai district. Moreover hypothetical premises of the research were confirmed only partly because the reorganization programme of school system in Mažeikiai district was assessed rather positively. Although it has a lot of imperfections. The opinion of education experts confirms the second hypothetical premise that modern management, co-ordination and informative support is insufficient. Summarising practical applicability of the research is argued as a possibility to use these results optimising, co-ordinating and realising the reorganization programme of school system in Mažeikiai district.
