LTStraipsnyje, remiantis dokumentų bei mokslinės literatūros analise, nagrinėjamos Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos kaitos tendencijos XXI a. pasaulinių švietimo charakteristikų kontekste. Atlikta analizė rodo, jog Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos veiklos charakteristikoje išaiškėjusios tendencijos dera su pasaulinėmis švietimo charakteristikomis, tačiau problemiškas šių tendencijų realizavimas švietimo praktikoje. ENReferring to the document and scientific literature analysis, the article discloses the tendencies of Lithuanian secondary school in the context of the world educational characteristics of the 21st century. The analysis performed shows that the tendencies, which manifested themselves in the characteristic of the activity of Lithuanian secondary school, coincide with the world educational characteristics, but the realization of these tendencies rise problems in educational practice. The article discusses the following scientific problem: what characteristic; is a school to possess? Does the Lithuanian secondary school being reformed conform to world education characteristics? The article consists of three parts. The first one reveals (his vision of secondary school in the 21st century considering the world educational tendencies. The second part analyses the characteristic of Lithuanian secondary school activity in the context of the world educational characteristics in the 21st century. The third one is meant to evaluate the tendencies of Lithuanian secondary school change and in the context of the 21st century world educational characteristics to disclose the problems as well as to foresee their solution guidelines.
