LTDisertacijoje analizuojama mokymosi tarnaujant bendruomenei sociokultūrinė adaptacija Lietuvos universitete. JAV kilmės mokymosi tarnaujant bendruomenei adaptacija Lietuvos universitete suprantama kaip prisitaikymas prie sociokultūrinių veiksnių sudarančių prielaidas konceptualioms metodo modifikacijoms, edukacinio veiksmingumo raiškai ir studijų proceso liberalizavimui. MTB metodo adaptacijos ir taikymo kitokioje socioedukacinėje aplinkoje metu vyksta metodo sampratos ir turinio transformacijos, kuriamos naujos sociokultūrinės prasmės tiek konceptualiame (metodo sampratos aiškinimo įvarovė), tiek praktiniame (metodo edukacinio veiksmingumo rezultatų ir proceso variacijos) lygmenyse, kur susiduria skirtingos proceso dalyvių (mokslininkų, dėstytojų, studentų, socialinių partnerių) vizijos ir patirtys. Disertacijoje siekiama atskleisti mokymosi tarnaujant bendruomenei sociokultūrinės adaptacijos Lietuvoje veiksnius ir identifikuoti edukacinio veiksmingumo ir studijų proceso organizavimo dimensijas, analizuojant metodo diegimo patirtį Šiaulių universitete. Tyrimas atskleidė, kad sociokultūriškai adaptuoto metodo edukacinį veiksmingumą, ugdyti profesionalius savo srities specialistus ir kartu pilietiškai aktyvias, įvairiapuses asmenybes Lietuvos universitete, riboja kultūriškai ir istoriškai susiformavę tokio tipo studijų dalyvių vaidmenys ir elgesio modeliai, tradicinės mokymo paradigmos vyravimas pedagoginėje studijų sistemoje, inovatyvių universiteto ir visuomenės bendradarbiavimo formų ir patirties bei pilietinio ir visuomeninio dalyvavimo tradicijų stoka.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Mokymasis tarnaujant bendruomenei; Kooperuotos studijos; Patirtinis mokymasis; Refleksyvus mokymasis; Probleminis mokymasis; Service-learning; Cooperative studies; Experiential learning; Reflecsive learning; Problem-based learning.

ENThe thesis analyzes the socio-cultural adaptation of service learning in Lithuanian university. The service learning adaptation of USA origin in Lithuanian university is understood as the adaptability to the socio-cultural factors which influence the conceptual modifications of the method, the expression of educational efficiency and the liberalization of the study process. The thesis aims at revealing the factors of the sociocultural adaptation of service learning in Lithuania and identifying the dimensions of educational efficiency and the study process organization analyzing the experience of the method implementation in Šiauliai university. During the adaptation and application of socioculturally distinctive service learning in the different socio-educational environment, the transformations of the method conception and its content take place and new sociocultural meanings are created both in the conceptual (the variety of the explanation of the method conception) and practical (variations of the results and process of the educational efficiency) levels, where many different visions and experiences of process participants (scientists,lecturers, students, social partners) meet. The research has revealed that the educational efficiency of socioculturally adapted method (which aims at educating professional specialists as well as active, civically engaged persons in Lithuanian university) is limited by the roles of study participants and behaviour models which are culturally and historically formed, the domination of traditional teaching paradigm in the pedagogical study system, the innovative forms and experience of the cooperation and partnership between the university and society as well as the lack of traditions of the civil and public participation.
