ENThe aim of this article is to analyze the language training methods and to emphasize the reasons of their choice. The object of the study is primary school teachers' attitude towards the Lithuanian language training applying the interdisciplinary integrated teaching. The article reveals that the primary school teachers' choice of training methods is influenced by the change of the general education tendency. The role of the change of the training aims and training content is also very important while choosing the training methods. The results of this investigation show that at present teachers try to integrate language training and literature development relating language training to other school subjects. The research has shown that the respondents notice that the native language training is very effective when it is related to nature and art studies. But during the language training process fewer teachers relate language training to physical education and moral education. Teachers value the Lithuanian language training applying the interdisciplinary integrated teaching in different ways. The application of this interdisciplinary integrated teaching is influenced by the age of respondents and by the place of their work. [Text from author]
