ENThe article deals with stream teaching which puts the system of differentiated teaching into practice and presents primary empirical data showing which factors influence the environment of differentiated learning in stream teaching. The main idea of the article has been expressed by a problem question, whether there is a connection between the environment of differentiated learning in stream teaching and psychological, pedagogical, and social factors. The first part of the article deals with the theoretical basis of the research on the factors influencing the environment of differentiated learning; the second part is devoted to the analysis of empirical research. The research method is a questionnaire. The number of the respondents is 262: 128 students - 11th graders, 63 teachers engaged in stream teaching, and 71 parents, randomly selected.Having carried out the research on the factors influencing the environment of differentiated learning in stream teaching, the following peculiarities can be pointed out: on the level of the system of education, stream teaching is a new stage of educational reform; on the level of an individual, stream teaching is the environment of differentiated learning influenced by psychological, pedagogical, social factors, and their interaction. Stream teaching is the environment organized according to students' needs and abilities and educates an independent, responsible for learning, self-confident, and self-determined personality. Teachers are not sufficiently ready for the process of their students' cognition, they evade to accept their students' aspirations of being independent. They should thoroughly think over their teaching methods in stream teaching and try to look for closer contacts with their students. Teachers, students, and their parents expect that in stream teaching new relations between school and society will be formed, that a reformed school will become a part of a constant educational system which is being created, and that it will help students reveal themselves completely in constantly changing social and cultural space.
