ENThe main goal of this work is to research how adaptation of technology and local conditions are related to the success of technology transfer, also to make provision of the strategies to increase efficiency of the process. The research data was been obtained by the sociological questioning of the specialists of innovation centres, technology parks, business incubators and consulting centres. The data has been treated using Rating/ Ranking method. It has been found that the average application of transferred technologies is at medium level. In order to introduce new technologies, it was necessary to change local environment and technology at the same level magnitude. This rises a lot of problems to be solved. Correlation analysis has been carried out in order to determine the dependence of technology transfer success rating upon adaptation rating Small correlation dependence between technology transfer success and adaptation to the environment has been established. The increase of the technology adoption, in many cases, has positive influence over the success of the project. In accordance with the research results, there were defined typical approaches to increase technology transfer efficiency. A lot of these approaches concentrate on the solution of the contradictions between influential groups in the enterprise internal, direct and side external environment, trying to reach effective exhaust of the possibilities given by new technology.
