ENIn recent researches related with women's activities and expressions in the society, a family is often considered as a social construct, the problems of functions' changes, modern women's professional career transformations. However, women's possibilities to combine successfully studies and work, and factors governing this combination, in a non-fiction are analyzed in episodes. Therefore, in this context it is significant to analyze deeper the women's possibilities to combine different, but particularly relevant activities - work and study. Namely, university studies are orientated towards the whole general person's preparation to act in the society and fully respond to the challenges of the times. The article presents one of the aspects of the research of scientific problems: what are the main combination factors of the academic studies and work of women studying at the university? The object of the research – the combination of women's academic study and work. The aim of the article – to reveal the main factors of women's possibilities to combine successfully academic study and work from the point of view of women studying at university. The methods of the research – the analysis of nonfiction, a comparative analysis, a questionnaire, a statistic analysis, a content analysis, an abstraction. The article analysis the results of the empirical research (the questionnaire, in which participated 151 respondents), accomplished in 2011 in three Lithuanian universities, revealing some of the coordination factors of women's academic study and work. Summarizing the research in this aspect, we can highlight the following important insights. Assessing the study and the attitude of working women towards permanent studying as an important basis for a study and work combination, the quite positive attitudes of respondents appeared. The need for constant studying is usually related with an interesting, significant, valuable woman's life vision. It is noteworthy that a modern woman's need for studying and improving is less valuated by participants with less studying experience; older women and women raising children in a family support this idea less. The study and work coordination assumptions' analysis showed that considerably more studying women firstly were determined to combine this activity with work willing to expand their view and improve their personality. Younger women were more often subjected to proving to other people that they were able to achieve significant personal results combining different activities. Older working women chose university studies more purposefully, but more often they did so motivated by their employers and social circumstances. The research revealed that the bigger part of studying and working women's home and work environmental conditions were treated as good or absolutely suitable for maintenance of the work and study combination. We can state that for the combination of these activities both at home and at work better conditions were penetrated by both unmarried and women having bigger studying experience. The main difficulties in this respect arise for both divorced and raising more children respondents. Also, older women tended to assess less approvingly the suitability of work and home environment conditions for studies. Assuming the meaning of relationships at work for women's studies, it shall be indicated that the most of respondents stated that they were not experiencing any big problems regarding employers or colleagues' attitude towards their studies: here dominated the neutral or supporting reaction of leaders and people around. Only one tenth of the questionnaire participants acknowledged experiencing unpleasant situations, when they experienced jealousy, irony or competition fear for their studies. The appreciation of the successful combination of different activities depends not only on an emotional environmental influence, but also on the most of personal features (temperament, character). We can state that the research data revealed the tendency of not so much negative attitude in different cases certifying the complication of work and study combination. Analyzing the work and study combination conditions in respect of help and supporting in an academic space, it was noticed that less than one half of the respondents felt the flexibility, intelligence and support of a lecturer combining their work and study. We may mention that both divorced and raising more children working students expected for listening much more. A tendency is obvious from the research results, that rather significant numbers of working and studying women expected some comprehension from a lecturer and hoped to get some facilitation in studies as the matter of course. A question, what kind of flexibility and objective particularity relation should be in modern study process, could be discussed in extensive discussions. Analyzing personal difficulties experienced by women on purpose to successfully combine studies and work, it was revealed that one third of the respondents starting their studies did not come up for more problems. The other research data showed two main obstacles of study and work combination: incapability to distribute rationally own time and growing tiredness at work. More often these difficulties were experienced by both married and living with partner women. It was indicated that only one third of the respondents could overcome problems during their study, unmarried women could manage the difficulties easier. It was noticed that some part of the studying and working participants of a questionnaire indicated that they started to perform their direct duties easier. [From the publication]
