ENThe article analyses inter-parlamentary relations of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in foreign, security, defense, military, etc. policy. The analyses includes a comprehensive description of the Baltic Assembly activities in 1991-2002. Resolute activity of the Inter-Parlamentary Baltic Assembly (BA) (founded in 1991) for the independence of the three Baltic States and its establishment was and still remains to be the key objective and the most important direction of action. The BA places emphasis on the coordination of foreign and security policy of the Baltic States, demonstrates common position of the three States and formulates common objectives in foreign and security policy. The attention of the BA focuses on the Baltic States joining the European Union and NATO. [text from author]
