ENThe article analyzes the text organization forms (description, narration and reasoning) of the belles lettres style. The results show, that the parameters of the sentence length can be important in explaining the originality of these forms. The distinctive feature of the text forms is the distribution of the length groups of sentences. The distribution of sentences according to their length groups is as follows: in narration fragments short sentences, consisting of 9-17 words, prevail (51,4%), in description and reasoning very short (1-8words) sentences are dominant (appropriately 49,7% and 63,9%). The second position in narrative is taken up by very short sentences (42,7%), in description - short sentences (38,0%).The other distinctive feature of text forms is the average length of sentences and their parameters.
