ENArticle is attached to the important problem of creation, correction and realization of strategy in the State institution - Customs. The problem of the Customs' strategy became more and more important in connection with the process of Lithuania's joining the European Union (EU). Initiators and organizators of this process stimulate the activities of strategic planning, run them methodically, and evaluate strategics created. Integration to the EU makes dependent on certain changes that cannot be ignored in the strategic plans. Therefore creation and correction of the strategy became an important activity of Lithuania's Customs. This activity force inquires into the theoretical as well into practical aspects of strategic planning. For the deeper understanding of particular problems is devoted this article. Author introduces the changes in the strategy of activity of Lithuanian Customs in the light of report of EC Commission to the European Council, European Parliament and the Committee of Economical and Social Affairs "According to Strategy of Customs Union". Interpretation of this document allow better envisage possible changes in strategy of activity of Lithuania's Customs. The Customs of Lithuania, that polarize all its activity to the Country's membership in the EU, will be obliged to correct its strategy according to the guidelines for every country-candidate.
