ENThe problems of technological education and training of students have been analyzed in various aspects by foreign and Lithuanian educators and researchers. However, the lack of studies dealing with primary school teachers' attitude towards technological education makes the chosen subject of high importance. Object of the study: primary school teachers' attitude towards technological education. Aim of study: to analyze teachers' approach to technological education. Tasks of the study: to reveal teachers' attitudes towards technological education; to determine the factors influencing technology education organization. The following methods applied in the study: scientific literature review analysis, an anonymous written questionnaire feedback, statistical data analysis and interpretation, which were instrumental to highlight the teachers' approach to technological education. 92 primary school teachers with work experience of 3 to 30 years at school participated in the study. The author wants to find out the particularities of technological education process in various schools of Lithuania, to examine teachers' attitudes towards it. Attitude and confidence in teaching form the affective domain of teacher knowledge (Verloop, Van Driel, Meijer, 2001).The results of the study show that primary school teachers' attitude in teaching technology affect the quality of art education in general. In educators' opinion, technology classes are significant and meaningful in developing students' self-expression. The development of creativity in education is the matter of teacher's willingness and initiative. Technological education is conducive to the development of primary school pupils' skills, competencies and art education in general. Teachers' attitudes towards the technological education show their interest in the subject, the organization of the process, application of materials and improvement of technology teaching assumptions. Positive approach in teaching technology is very important for successful technology education. Technology education and quality improvement in primary school depend on a teacher's competence and capability to meet the sociocultural needs. [From the publication]
