Treasured in memory. The Lithuanian exile's and Gulag's literature
LTStraipsnyje tiriama lietuvių egzodo literatūra. Pirmiausia pateikiama trumpa egzodo knygų publikavimo apžvalga. Tiriamasis periodas apima laikotarpį nuo Lietuvos okupacijos 1940-aisiais iki mūsų dienų. Knygų leidimo proceso aptarimą sudaro du aspektai – pirmasis ir svarbiausias susijęs su leidinių paskelbimo chronologija, kiekvieno teksto paskelbimo data ir vieta, antrasis – su rašymo aplinkybėmis, t. y. kada, kaip ir kokiomis sąlygomis kalbamieji tekstai turėjo galimybę būti parašyti ir išvysti dienos šviesą. Antrojoje straipsnio dalyje apariama egzodo memuaristika. Ši literatūros šaka nuolat augo pasirodant vis naujoms prisiminimų knygoms. Straipsnyje atkreipiamas skaitytojo dėmesys į autorių pastangas panaudoti įvairias meninės raiškos formas, nekeliant klausimo dėl memuarinės literatūros tikroviškumo. Populiariausias egzode buvo prisiminimų žanras, taip pat dienoraščio, laiškų, esė forma, trumpos istorijos, romanai. Egzodo literatūros analizė atskleidžia, kad kūrinių įvairovę daugiausia lėmė autoriaus būdas, lytis ir amžius. Neabejotina, jog memuaristikoje didžiausią vaidmenį vaidina rašytojo asmenybė, jo mintys ir išgyvenimai. Šis literatūros tipas yra ypač personalizuotas, pripildytas asmeninių jausmų ir nuotaikų. ENThe article analyses the Lithuanian exodus literature. First of all, a brief review of publication of the exodus literature is presented. The analysed period covers the period from the occupation of Lithuania in 1940 to the present day. The discussion of the process of publishing of books comprises two aspects: the first and the most significant aspect related to the chronology of publications is the date and venue of the announcement of each text, the second is related to the circumstances under which the text has been produced, i.e. when and under what circumstances these texts were written and published. The second part of the article discusses the memoiristics of the exodus. This branch of literature constantly developed with the publication of new memoires. The article draws the reader’s attention to authors’ efforts to use all forms of artistic expression without raising the question with regard to the actuality of memoiristic literature. The most popular genre of the exodus literature was the genre of memoires as well as diaries, letters, essays, short stories and novels. The literature of exodus reveals the fact that the variety of works was determined by the author’s character, gender and age. It is no doubt that personality is the most important factor for memoires. This type of literature is a personalised type filled with personal feelings and moods. In order to better understand the genre of exodus memoires and to answer the question as to whether this literature is so popular in Lithuania, the article analyses the historical context, which should help reveal the feeling of helplessness of the Lithuanian nation and the criminal mechanism of terror operating during the Soviet occupation.
