LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjamos šiuolaikinio ugdymo problemos. Autoriteto klausimas šiuolaikiniame gyvenime patiria gan rimtus išbandymus. Išlieka suvokimas, kad reikia pagrindo formuojant visas gyvenimo sritis. Tuo labiau pagrindinių atramos taškų reikia ugdymo procese. Šiuo darbu bandoma įvardinti sritis, kurios daugiau ar mažiau turi įtakos jauno žmogaus vertybių sistemos formavimuisi. Išskirtos šios ugdymo įtakos zonos: šeima, mokykla, jaunimo grupės, religija. ENThe world civilization is the type of culture and civilization influenced by Europe. Techniques and industry, which primarily started up in Europe, today are widely spread and developed in the whole world. These processes are inevitably followed by the formation of free consciousness. The tendency of the formation is the touching of the problem of the authority in all the spheres. The factors participating in the education of a person are not excluded. Presently, as never before, the co-called „erises of the authority" is evident. Such motives as age, experience of the majority or the many and also the personal experience of the evident witnesses were the comer stones of the authoritative argumentation. Now they cannot continue boasting of their former influence. There arc many reasons for it. The positive character of the authority disappeared due to the feeling that the own way of thinking was blocked by other authorities. The autonomy of the mind of n man added the determination in the concept of the authority. As we are the members of the community, we receive a relevant load of the surroundings, which influence our choice and behaviour. Besides, we bring our part to surroundings where we live and work. By complementing each other we form the culture, social and moral norms. In this case, we consider as important specific spheres of life and the surrounding, in which the process of the education of a young man is taking place. The objective of the work was to determine what has the biggest authority in this process and what we loose in the stream of time. The authority, which was not an object of disputes for long centuries, today overcomes a radial trial. In the spheres of life discussed in the article we may distinguish the general features for the characterization of the present situation. Some kind of a fluster prevails due to the variety of the theories of education and management.It is evidently seen and abused by those who participate in the process of education. The variety of forms of the protest against the authority is even bigger. It may be stated that each case is unique and requires some individual approach. Both these situations require for a bigger number of qualified specialists of the definite sphere. The theoreticians able to see the essential things in the life and practitioners ready to use the knowledge in a definite situation are needed. The processes taking place in the society and the sphere of education should be controlled. In spite of the critics, the authority is necessary because without it the anarchy will prevail and the situation will become uncontrolled. For achieving positive results, the joint actions of parents, the school and the Church are required. Setting up the priorities, the respect among these institutions will not permit to enjoy the controversy and derogation of thoe who should experience the solid power of education.
