LTŠiuolaikinėje poindustrinėje visuomenėje galima pastebėti nemažai nišų, kuriose savo vietą suranda ir etninė kultūra, besireiškianti skirtingomis formos. Galime jai priskirti įvairius folkloro festivalius, vakarones, konkursus, muges, kuriose pristatomos ir demonstruojamos senosios lietuvių tradicijos bei amatai. Dar viena palyginus neseniai susiformavusi terpė palanki etninės kultūros sklaidai – kaimo turizmo sodybos. Straipsnyje siekiama įvertinti etninės kultūros raiškos formas kaimo turizmo sodybose. Visų pirmajame aptariama Lietuvos kaimo turizmo asociacijos pozicija etninės kultūros atžvilgiu, toliau pereinama prie tradicinės ir kaimo turizmo sodybos lyginimo ir galiausiai apžvelgiama kaimo turizmo veikla kitose Europos šalyse. ENMost of the authors, who talk about rural cultural development, emphasize cherishing of ethnographical traditions and cultural heritage, recreation of ancient feast and organization of cultural events. Rural tourism can become a shelter of traditional culture or even a heart of its nurturance. It seems that rural tourism plays an important role in many non-urbanized territories by realization some modern functions, such as residential, economic diversification, relaxation and rehabilitation, cognitive and educational, ethnographic and protection of ethnic heritage, as well as landscape nurturance. Article focuses to answer the question, what place is imposed for ethnic culture in rural tourism homestead, in formation of material base and providing different facilities? What role and influence to its current and future members plays Association of rural tourism? Different homesteads that belong to Lithuanian Rural Tourism Association are divided by stork system by evaluation quality of infrastructure and diversity of services. Only a small proportion of homesteads have some common features with the ethnic culture. When trying to compare traditional farm and simple rural homestead it would be recommended to choose a different classification method of grading: homestead that use or do not use elements of ethnic culture. Association is seeking for synchronic homesteads, it supports the idea of integrity and ethnic culture, but in its web page this is not emphasized. By comparing rural tourism homestead with traditional architecture there can be seen more differences that similarities. [From the publication]Looking at the traditional architecture of the present country houses can be seen that the traditional architecture in village planning and interior details sparse remain. It is also influenced by market forces - the new homesteads adapted to the needs arising: most homesteads are orientated towards business conferences observing big family feasts, which means that inside layouts of buildings are shifted. Family relaxation in rural tourist homesteads rather often becomes peripheral. Unnecessary elements of (bam, stable) simply deteriorated or their function is changed into aesthetical? Main feature connecting traditional grange with rural tourism homestead is its localization in village. Bathhouse is the most important component, but in rural tourism homesteads its function is amusement. Materials used for creating rural look and feel are almost the same: wood, stone (interior, exterior), but fails to keep traditional straight forms of objects (swing, bower). Although craftsmen retain using traditional materials, their works in most cases are very modem. New phenomenon is so called „Craft yard", where in special workshop traditional Lithuanian crafts are being demonstrated. Still, this is only the beginning in the future this should draw more attention from tourists and owners of homesteads.
