Romantinė istorijos samprata Oskaro Milašiaus ir Adomo Mickevičiaus kūryboje

ENAdomas Mickevičius (Adam Mickiewicz) and Jules Michelet are two 19th century figures closely associated with romanticism, history, and emblematic as well as messianic imagination. The intersection of mysticism and rationality in the imagination and concepts of the creator is something they both have in common. The objective of the article is the comparative examination of worldviews and mentality, and the typological discussion of some creative aspects of the authors being compared. The connections between the creative works of Adomas Mickevičius and Jules Michelet allow for several important problems and premises to be raised. What is the relation between national and universal origins in creating history? The relationship between ethnicity and clairvoyance in romanticism has a distinctive expression. Different types of "illuminist" concepts consolidated in works of romanticism representatives are based on the intentional concept of history. Michelet’s France and Mickevičius’ Poland and Lithuania have similar features. The authors reflect on the energetic power of the nationalities living in the ethnic territory in creating history and culture. They contemplate the contribution of the nations to the development of civilization. The level of writing allows the works of Michelet - the historian, and Mickevičius - the poet, to be brought together. In both cases, the concepts of history held by both of them, which speak of the incarnation of "genius" among the people, are extremely significant.
