Kauno jėzuitų gimnazijos bendruomenės kūrimasis (1924-1944)

LTKauno jėzuitų gimnazijos tapatumui yra svarbi prieš daugiau nei aštuoniasdešimt metų prasidėjusi ir du dešimtmečius trukusi gimnazijos istorija. Straipsnyje į gimnazijos dviejų dešimtmečių raidą pažvelgiama kaip į bendruomenės kūrimosi procesą. Išskiriami bendruomenės bruožai, analizuojama, kaip bendruomenė atrodė „iš išorės“, kaip ji augo tiek narių skaičiumi, tiek struktūriškai plėsdamasi, taip pat kaip bendruomenė atrodė „iš vidaus“ – kokie buvo santykiai tarp mokytojų ir mokinių, kas svarstyta per pedagogų tarybos posėdžius, kaip prisimenami buvę mokytojai ar mokymosi laikotarpis, galiausiai, kokie buvo bendruomeniniai ryšiai palikus gimnaziją. Pasirinktas bendruomenės kūrimosi aspektas yra aktualus gimnazijos bendruomenės narių identiteto formavimuisi. Tačiau vien tik kanceliariniai dokumentai, įvairūs įsakymai, netgi gimnazijos veiklos apyskaitos ar pedagogų tarybos posėdžių protokolai negali užčiuopti intymių išgyvenimų, susijusių su bendruomeniškumo jausmo augimu ir kaita. Tokiu atveju belieka imti interviu ir bandyti suprasti autentiškas, intymias patirtis bei iš jų mokytis. Išvardyti bendruomenei būdingi bruožai šiuo atveju nėra kokie nors išskirtiniai ir gali būti pritaikomi ir kitoms bendruomenėms. Visgi, atrodo, 1924 m. įkurta Kauno jėzuitų gimnazija turėjo kiek geresnes sąlygas bendruomeniškumui ugdyti nei kitos to meto mokyklos Lietuvoje: gerai įrengti fizikos ir biologijos kabinetai, keletas gimnazijos orkestrų ir choras, dramos būrelis, gimnazijos kino teatras. ENThe object of analysis of the current article is the development of the Kaunas Jesuit Gymnasium with a special focus on the community formation and its daily life. In the factographical respect, the development of the gymnasium, particularly in the period before the first Soviet occupation, has already been described in historiography. However, very little information about this gymnasium can be found after 1940. On the basis of archival sources, memoirs and interviews, the history of the gymnasium is extended until 1944 in the current article. The development of the gymnasium community having been chosen as the object of research, the extension of history until 1944 seems quite logical and possible: with the change of political power and reform of the educational system, the nucleus of the gymnasium pupils survived during the first Soviet occupation, but the teachers' staff changed more considerably. On the other hand, the Jesuits did not abandon the pastoral care of the gymnasium and its pupils - they did it secretly. In the period of German occupation not only the Jesuits, but also quite many teachers who had worked there before the war and occupation returned to the gymnasium to find part of their former pupils still studying there. The school curricula, agenda of events, and memoirs testify that the occupations definitely had some influence on the development of this school, but the community spirit, the common values and continuity were retained and nurtured until the beginning of the second Soviet occupation.
