Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje analizuojama profesinių kompetencijų formavimas, jų pritaikymo galimybės, ieškoma sąveikos su profesine veikla, kuriai ruošiami aukštųjų mokyklų studentai – potencialūs žmogiškieji ištekliai. Žmogiškasis kapitalas turi būti suprantamas kaip žmoniškųjų išteklių sinonimas ir apibūdinamas kaip tam tikras kompetencijas turintys darbuotojai, kurie priimdami ir realizuodami sprendimus, įtakoja organizacijos veiklos efektyvumą. Profesines kompetencijas studentai įgyja aukštosiose mokyklose ir, įsilieję į profesinę veiklą, šias kompetencijas gali įtvirtinti, sustiprinti įgytas teorines ir praktines žinias. Žmogiškasis kapitalas – tai protiniai sugebėjimai, įgyti formalaus mokymo, išsilavinimo ir praktinės patirties prasme. Ekonomikos sėkmingas vystymasis vis labiau priklauso nuo investicijų į žmones bei jų intelektinio potencialo išsaugojimo, plėtojimo. Straipsnyje išsamiai aptariama atlikto tyrimo rezultatai, kuriais reikėtų vadovautis siekiant gerinti aukštojo mokslo kokybę, ieškant optimalių strategijų organizuojant suaugusiųjų mokymąsi bei atsižvelgiant į respondentų atliktus vertinimus. ENThe paper analyzes formation of professional competences, the opportunities of application thereof; the interaction with professional activities is sought. Human capital must be understood as synonymous with human resources and described as employees having particular competences, who influence the efficiency of the activities of their organisation accepting and realizing decisions. Students acquire professional competencies at higher education school and having joined into the professional activities, they can establish expertise to strengthen their theoretical and practical knowledge. Human capital is mental ability to acquire formal education, training and practical skills. Successful economic growth depends increasingly on investment in people and preservation, development of their intellectual potential. The article considers in detail the results of the performed research, which should be followed in order to improve the quality of higher education, finding the optimal strategies for the organization of adult learning and taking into account the assessments made by the respondents. The object of the article is to achieve professional excellence. The purpose of the article is to reveal, how high school students evaluate their acquired professional competences in professional activities.Methods: the analysis of scientific literature and analysis of quantitative survey (questionnaire): 24 respondents were interviewed: 33 students of Klaipeda University, Klaipeda Business School, 36 students of the Western Lithuania Business College and 32 students of the College of Social Sciences extended studies graduate courses in management and economics. 35.5 percent of general population of Andragogy students were interviewed. The respondents were selected by random sampling. Statistical data were analyzed by statistical package SPSS. Any error did not exceed 5 percent. The survey revealed how the respondents evaluated the adequacy of knowledge and competences in professional activities. The available expertise and knowledge was sufficient to 31.5 percent of the respondents. The respondents’ denial of knowledge and expertise was evaluated to 6.2 percent; 46.9 percent of the respondents participated in the study. The respondents acknowledged that their knowledge and competences were of sufficient extent. We concluded that it was rather often in standard work situations to have not any possibilities to demonstrate certain skills or they were identified as redundant. The obtained results demonstrated that it was the most important for the respondents to improve their skills, to upgrade their existing knowledge and update skills in professionalism, security and work activities, etc. The least important was a suggestion to employers and colleagues to learn, as well as the gaps of their previous education.
