LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama Kauno kolegijoje rengiamų kraštotvarkos krypties specialistų profesinės veiklos perspektyva profesinio rengimo tobulinimo aspektu. ENThe importance of professional competencies and qualifications to the improvement of educational contents emphasising the relevance thereof to a successful carrier is discussed in this article. The development of the competencies of landscape management specialists in the aspect of their integration to a labour market was selected for the research. The selected theme of the research is relevant, because one of means, with the view to settle quality of activity, to get information needed for educational process and content of education improvement, was the assessment of professional competencies in the aspect of the labour market. The research methods: analysis and filing of scientific literature and documents, logical comparative analysis, quantitative and qualitative methods. Graduate students, the heads of companies performing their activities in the field of landscape as well as specialists, social partners participated in this survey. The ingenious and well considered coordination of competencies during the whole period of the study program could ensure the improvement of professional competencies. The students' motivation, study organization, inter-subjects relations, cooperation between the students and teachers made influence on this process. The evaluation of the competencies of the Landscape Management specialists is fairly good and this makes presumptions to the successful integration into particular activities. Regarding this and the facts of the placement analysis, we could state that the studies of the specialists of this direction would have a tendency to develop and improve in future. [text from author]
