Steigiamasis Seimas transnacionalinės istorijos požiūriu

LTStraipsnyje, aptarus transnacionalinės istorijos reikšmingumą, parodoma, kas per pastaruosius du dešimtmečius jau yra nuveikta Lietuvoje tiriant savo šalies XX a. parlamentarizmo praeitį. Pasisakoma už tolesnį šios problematikos rutuliojimą einant parlamentarizmo istorijos lyginamųjų ir transnacionalinių tyrimų kryptimis. Viena iš aptariamų svarbiųjų problemų yra 1917–1920 m. lietuviškoje politinėje mintyje funkcionavusi teritoriškai didesnės Lietuvos valstybės samprata, kuri nebuvo praradusi aktualumo ir Steigiamojo Seimo veiklos pradžioje. Vizualizuojant aptariamą problematiką, yra panaudota keletas kartoschemų, iliustruojančių lietuvių politinių veikėjų teritorines aspiracijas ir realias nepriklausomos Lietuvos valstybės kontroliuojamas sienas tarpukario laikotarpiu. Parodoma, kad bendras visos šios problematikos nagrinėjimas yra įmanomas tik platesniame tarptautiniame kontekste, nevengiant aptarti ir istorijos politikos raidą, nes XX a. atkurtos Lietuvos valstybės negalima atsieti nuo senojo Lietuvos valstybingumo paveldo ir tradicijų. ENUpon discussing the significance of transnational history, the paper shows what has been achieved during the past two decades in investigating of Lithuania's twentieth-century parliamentary history. Advocated is the further development of this problem in the comparative and transnational research of the parliamentary history. We are forced to do it by life itself, by the geographical/geopolitical situation of our state and our presence in the European union with its 27 states and half a billion people. One of the major issues under discussion is the greater spatial conception of the Lithuanian state in 1917–1920 Lithuanian political thought, which did not lose its relevance also at the start of the functioning of the Constituent assembly (Steigiamasis Seimas). The paper employs a number of sketches illustrating the territorial aspirations of Lithuanian political actors and the actual borders of the independent state of Lithuania in the interwar period. It is shown that the overall examination of all these problems is possible only in a broader international context, without avoiding discussion of the politics of history and memory, because the Lithuanian state restored in the twentieth century cannot be separated from the old Lithuanian statehood heritage and traditions. At the end of the article, it is stated that the trend of developing transnational historiography would not only enrich the historiography of the national history and help to overcome some of its provincial limitations, but also contribute to improving the situation of general history studies in Lithuania.
