ENEU environmental law has been existing as an independent law branch in the European Union since the 1960s. Environmental policy is one of the most important and relevant European Union policies. Therefore, particular attention has been drawn to the improvement of environmental law. The paper presents an overview of the development of EU environmental law, discusses the content, relevant issues, the state of conducted studies of this law branch, and indicates the areas that should be more widely analysed and discussed.
