Piliakalnio aplinkumos tvarkymo pradai apžvelgus Ukmergės konkursinius projektus

LTStraipsnyje keliamos piliakalnio aplinkumos tvarkymo problemos ir siūlomi jų sprendimo būdai. Tyrimo objektu pasirinktas Ukmergės piliakalnis, dėl jo tvarkymo 2010 m. buvo surengtas projektų konkursas. Analizuojama, kiek projektai atitiko konkurso reikalavimus, pateikiami piliakalnio tvarkymo principai kraštovaizdžio architekto požiūriu. Ukmergės piliakalnis yra senamiestyje, Šventosios ir Ukmergėlės santakoje, apstatytas neaukštais pastatais, apjuostas gatvių tinklu. Norint piliakalnį apsaugoti ir jį naudoti reikėtų pradėti griauti piliakalnio papėdėje esančius pastatus, neprojektuoti naujų statybų ar jų rekonstrukcijų. Piliakalnio naudojimas yra jo apžiūrėjimas ir užkopimas į viršūnę, pasižvalgymas po Šventosios slėnį ir Ukmergės senamiestį. Dabar lankytojai į piliakalnį kopia mediniais laiptais nepažeisdami piliakalnio šlaitų. Masiniai renginiai prie piliakalnio kelia pavojų, kad bus padaryta žala kultūros vertybei. Piliakalnį dengianti varpinių žolių velėna saugo jo šlaitus nuo vandensrūvės erozijos. Medžiai stačiuose piliakalnio šlaituose nepageidautini, nes apkraunamas nestabilius šlaitų paviršius jų šaknys purena susigulėjusį gruntą, virsdami medžiai pažeidžia šlaito struktūrą ir gali sukelti šlaitų nuošliaužas. Sraunus vandeningas upelis nuo seno ardė piliakalnio pašlaites, todėl upelio krantų tvirtinimas yra būtinas norint išlaikyti stabilumą. ENProblems of arrangement of hill-fort surroundings are posed and solutions to them are discussed in this article. The hill-fort of Ukmergė is chosen as the subject of this article, because a contest of its arrangement was organized in 2010. Analysis how the projects satisfy the contest requirements and the principles of hill-fort arrangement from the landscape architect point of view is presented. The hill-fort of Ukmergė is in the old town near the confluence of Šventoji and Valkmerkė rivers, surrounded by low-level buildings and street net. The existing buildings near the base of the hill-fort should be gradually demolished and the new ones or the reconstructions should not be planned. The hill-fort should be sacred for climbing on the top of it and sightseeing the confluence of the rivers and old town. Now visitors climb the hill-fort using wooden stairs and do not harm the slopes. Massive events near the hill-fort may put into a danger the cultural object. The grass covering the hill-fort protects its slopes from water stream erosion. Trees on the steep slopes of the hill-fort are not requested, because they load down the unstable slope surfaces, loosen the packed soil, destroy the structure of slope while falling and provoke landslides. The rivulet has trickled destroying the slopes of the hill-fort for many years, therefore it is important to fix the banks of the rivulet for sustaining their stability. [From the publication]
