ENSubject of the research - expression of creative capabilities of senior pupils. Target of the research - to find out how teachers of music evaluate the expression of senior pupils' creative capabilities in separate spheres of musical activities. Analysis of pedagogic, psychological literature, and education documents, survey of teachers of music, processing of survey data by IBM SPSS Statistics 19 for Windows software. After making the analysis of the scientific literature, the following creative capabilities were marked: to think independently, nonstereotypically, perceive the essence and value of things and phenomena; raise ideas, find atypical solutions; implement ideas. On the basis of the aforementioned, a theoretical — empirical model of creative capabilities' expression is designed, involving the main spheres of expression by musical activities (playing, creation, music definition and evaluation), 36 empirical features of creative capabilities' expression by the musical activities are identified. Get of the research, the population that was selected is teachers of music teaching senior pupils of Lithuanian schools. The teachers of music were presented a questionnaire and asked to evaluate the frequency of 36 empirical feature manifestation by the scale from one to six: 1 - Always successful; 2 - sometimes successful; 3 - more successful rather than unsuccessful; 4 - more unsuccessful rather than successful; 5 - sometimes unsuccessful; 6 - always unsuccessful.The teachers were asked to evaluate only senior pupils. The data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 19 for Windows software, and to reveal the problem, the Friedman criteria and singlefactor dispersion analysis of variance (ANOVA). Hence, it is found out that the teacher of music of senior pupils evaluate the expression of creative capabilities by the musical activity positively. They indicate the majority of creative capabilities as frequently manifesting in all spheres of musical activity. Pupils express their creative capabilities during creation most often, and least often during playing music. In most cases, evaluations of teachers do not depend on their qualification category or work experience. An exception is when the teachers with the longest work experience indicate that senior pupils mostly succeed in expressing their creative capabilities while defining and evaluating music, and the teachers having the shortest work experience state opposite. The research results have revealed that pupils mostly succeed in raising ideas, and find atypical solutions in all spheres of musical activities. Meanwhile, implementation of ideas is successful often during playing music and music definition and evaluation. Most rarely, pupils think independently, non-stereotypically, perceive the essence and value of things and phenomena. [Text from author]
