ENThe profession of the music teacher may also be regarded as a profession of increased emotional stress because one essential component - concert activity naturally forms different degrees of psychic stress. But if we want to analyse the latter scienticifically it is necessary to know some essential peculiarities which are not characteristic of a performer professional. The aim of this research was to analyse theoretically and empirically the factor of concert activity experience in the process of music teacher training. The analysis included a diagnostic test that was carried out with a target group of 190 future teachers of music presently studying at Vilnius Pedagogical University and the Universities of Šiauliai and Klaipėda. The researchers measured the dependence of stage emotions on factors like performer sex, age, and year of studies. The research results also disclose the interaction between musical or stage experience and performers' emotional states while playing musical instruments solo. [From the publication]
