ENArticle deals with a new aspect in terms of education management, i.e. with the connection of the behaviour of the educational organisation and strategy. The system of education has its specific function. In Lithuania it is defined as education of people by creating pre-requisites for the development of their intellectual, physical and spiritual powers. The system of education is made of education organisations with their own functions. The implementation of the function depends of the function depends on the behaviour and strategy of organisation. Analysis of science literature and empirical experiments contributed to the exposition of their connection. There are connections between the educational organisation and its strategy: harmony of the mission, goals and vision of the educational organisation, as implemented in the activities of its specific structural subdivisions; harmony of the aims of the organisation and the demands of its members; interaction of the organisation with the outer and inner environment; interaction of the individual, their groups and the organisation as of internal and external cultures; value adequacy of the individuals, their groups, the organisation and of the external environment that is of major influence on their activities. The connections of the behaviour of the educational organisation and its strategy are complex. Empirical research would be conducive to encouraging their development. A hypothetical conclusion that its result would be of special significance to the harmony of the behaviour of the organisation and its strategy is probable. [From the publication]
