ENThe vicissitude of education is in a quick process not only in Lithuania, but in the world as well, so it is payed more attention to the perfection of teacher training. On purpose to reform purposively teacher-training system, it is necessary to know what aspects of teacher's professional competence are the most essential trying to secure the quality of education, and what teachers' features determine higher results of pupils' learning. In the article, which is based on the regressive analysis of the facts basis of the national research of fourthformers' learning achievements, the connections between different factors concerned with teaching and learning and the results of fourth-formers math learning are analyzed. The research identified that the influence of inner school factors and their groups is stronger for the results of pupils' math learning than outer factors, which do not depend on school. Especially strong dependence is identified between teachers' abilities to select the suitable content of education, learning strain, methods of teaching or learning and the results of fourth-formers math learning, while the influence of factors such as teacher's age, education, specialty or qualification is not meaningful analyzing it in connection with other inner school factors for pupils' achievements.
