ENThe article deals with the study of sources of labour law, especially with Jurisprudence and its relation with other sources of labour law. Having discussed the normative regulation of labour relations, the conclusion is drawn that Jurisprudence is an important source of labour law despite the power of Labour Code. Obviously, this should be left for the national culture of applying judicial precedents. The unification of this area is a very complicated task as examples of real practice show. On the other hand, Jurisprudence strongly affects the regulation of labour relations and the implementation of obligatory rules. Judicial precedents allow collective agreements as possible not only within the limits of law; a necessary condition for their legitimacy and validity is that they should conform to principles of labour law. Also in determining such conditions, the principles of justice, rationality and honesty are to be considered. The explanations of the Supreme Court of Lithuania concerning the application of legal norms are considered as an optional source, however with great significance in practice. 'Ihe article presents the analysis of practice of the Supreme Court of Lithuania. In order to make a more detailed analysis of legal regulations and present a solution of problems, the practice of administrative courts of Lithuania was considered. 'Ihc study could be of great value to law researchers, judges, doctoral .students, students of law, social partners (employees as well as employers), other parties that are applying in practice the legal norms of labour law.
