Negalės kultūra kaip iššūkis kultūros homogeniškumui

LTNeįgaliųjų dalyvavimas mene žinomas nuo senų laikų. Visi žavisi Antikos dainiumi tituluojamu Homeru. Tačiau tai, kad meno kūrinio autorius turi negalę, dažniausiai likdavo nežinoma. Todėl sunku įsivaizduoti, kad neįgalieji kaip tam tikra socialinė grupė būtų galėję pateikti atsaką kultūros homogeniškumui. Ilgus šimtmečius buvo įprasta, kad jie yra tylūs, pasyvūs visuomenės gyvenimo dalyviai ir meno kūrėjai. Tačiau XXI a. neįgaliųjų dalyvavimas mene įgavo platų mastą ir naują raišką. Aukštas neįgaliųjų socialinės integracijos į visuomenę lygis sudarė prielaidas susitelkti ir kolektyviškai dalyvauti kultūroje. Atsirado tokių negalės kultūros ženklų kaip Londono neįgaliųjų meno forumas, Islingtono neįgaliųjų muzikos festivalis, Art & Soul festivalis Los Andžele, į kurį 1999-aisiais susirinko daugiau kaip trys tūkstančiai dalyvių. Šia prasme negalės kultūra tapo neįgaliuosius telkiančia jėga. Jų dalyvavimas mene yra ne tik kultūros fenomenas, bet ir socialinis judėjimas, emancipuojantis neįgaliuosius, valorizuojantis dalyvavimo visuomenėje galimybes. Negalės kultūros ir politinės galios jungtis generavo iššūkio kultūros homogeniškumui galimybę. ENThe participation of the disabled in arts is known long time ago. Everybody admire an antique singer Homer. However, the fact that the author of an art work was disabled usually remained unknown. Therefore, it is hard to imagine that the disabled as a certain social group could have responded the cultural homogeneity. For centuries it was normal that they were quiet and passive participants of life and creators of art. However, in the 21st c., the participation of the disabled in the sphere of art became wide and acquired a new expression. The high level of the social integration of the disabled into society conditioned concentration and collective participation in culture. Such signs of disability as the London Disability Arts Forum, the Islington Disability Music Festival, Art & Soul festival in Los Angeles which attracted more than three thousand participants in 1999 appeared. In this sense, the disability culture became a power that concentrated the disabled. Their participation in arts is not only a cultural phenomenon but a social movement, as well; it emancipates the disabled and valorises the possibilities to participate in the society. The combination of disability culture and political power had generated a possibility to challenge the culture's homogeneity.
