Žemaitijos ir Klaipėdos krašto senųjų kaimų struktūra

LTStraipsnyje analizuojami Vakarų Lietuvos (Žemaitijos ir Klaipėdos krašto) senieji kaimai, siekiama atskleisti tų etnokultūrinių regionų senųjų kaimų struktūros ypatybes, jų pobūdį. Atlikus struktūrinę analizę, nustatyta, kad senieji kaimai iki šiol nebuvo nuosekliai išnagrinėti ir suklasifikuoti pagal jų struktūros ypatybes. Mažosios Lietuvos kaimai sovietmečiu buvo ignoruoti ir pasmerkti sunaikinimui. Ligšiolinėse lietuviškose publikacijose Vakarų Lietuvos kaimai apibūdinti tik schematiškai. M. Purvino parengti nauji tyrimo metodai, senųjų kaimo gyvenviečių etnokultūrinio rajonavimo schema leidžia parodyti esminius kaimų ypatumus, išskirti svarbiausius jų bruožus. Nustatyta, kad Žemaitijos etnokultūrinės pozonės pastebimai skyrėsi savo kaimų struktūromis, ypač didele kaimų struktūrine įvairove pasižymėjo Mažoji Lietuva. Autoriaus siūlymu, Vakarų Lietuvos kaimų savitumai turi būti tinkamai įvertinti ir priimti atitinkami sprendimai dėl tolesnio šių kaimų likimo. ENThis article examines the ancient villages of Western Lithuania (Samogitia and Klaipėda and its surrounding area), with a goal of revealing the special aspects of the structure of the ancient villages of these ethno-cultural regions and their character. Having carried out a structural analysis, it was determined, that up to the present day the ancient villages have never been regularly examined and classified according to the special aspects of their structure. During the Soviet period, the villages of Lithuania Minor were ignored and condemned for destruction. In Lithuanian publications up to the present day, the villages of Western Lithuania have only been described with basic outlines. With new research methods created by M. Purvinas, the charting of the ethno-cultural regional division of ancient village settlements allows us to show the primary distinctive aspects of the villages, and distinguish their most important traits. It was determined, that the differences of Samogitian ethno-cultural sub-zones differ from one another with the structure of their villages, especially with the large structural variety of villages that marks Lithuania Minor. By suggestion of the author, the distinctive characteristics of Western Lithuanian villages must be properly evaluated, and suitable decisions must be adopted regarding the future of these villages.
