Atminties kultūros raiška Šiaulių miesto kraštovaizdyje XX amžiuje

LTXX a. Šiaulių miesto kraštovaizdis buvo permanentiškai ženklinamas kolektyvinės atminties ženklais. Šiame straipsnyje apžvelgiama atminties kultūros raiška Šiaulių miesto kraštovaizdyje XX a. (iki Lietuvos nepriklausomybės atkūrimo 1990 m.) siekiant nustatyti, kokiais vaizdiniais ir kokiomis formomis kolektyvinė atmintis XX a. eigoje materializuodavosi miesto kraštovaizdyje. Iki Pirmojo pasaulinio karo Šiauliai buvo tipinis provincialus Rusijos imperijos gubernijos apskrities miestas. XX a. tarpukario Lietuvos politiniam ir kultūriniam elitui, siekiančiam įtvirtinti lietuviškojo nacionalizmo idealą, vienu iš šio įtvirtinimo instrumentų tapo kryptingas kolektyvinės atminties konstravimas. Sovietinio režimo diegiama kolektyvinė atmintis Šiauliuose materializavosi po Antrojo pasaulinio karo. XX a. devintojo dešimtmečio antroje pusėje Sovietų Sąjungoje partiniams ideologams paskelbus persitvarkymo ir viešumo kursą bei prasidėjus politinėms ir ekonominėms reformoms, ideologiniai politinio režimo varžtai atsileido. XX a. Šiaulių miesto kraštovaizdžio pagrindinis kolektyvinės atminties vaizdinių diegimo „inžinierius“ buvo politiniai režimai, kurie kolektyvine atmintimi naudojosi siekdami įtvirtinti nacionalizmo idealus (tarpukario Lietuvoje), taip pat konstruoti sovietinę tapatybę ir įskiepyti visuomenei ideologiją (sovietmečiu). ENThe article surveys the expression of the collective memory in the landscape of the town of Šiauliai during the 20th century (until the restitution of independence of Lithuania in 1990). The forms of expression of the collective memory and images representing the collective memory that have acquired material forms in the landscape of the town are analyzed in the text. Moreover, the article surveys the impact that policy of the collective memory implemented by the state has made on formation of the landscape of the town. It is maintained that the landscape of the town of Šiauliai was being consistently signified by the marks of the collective memory throughout the 20th century. The collective memory was materialized in all possible forms - to begin with local toponymies and to end with urban projects that have emerged under the influence of the images of the collective memory. It is proposed that the main "engineers" of implementation of the images of the collective memory in the landscape of the town through the 20th century were political regimes that employed the collective memory in pursuance of realizing nationalistic ideals during the period of interwar in Lithuania as well as forming Soviet identity and indoctrinating public ideology during the Soviet time. All projects intended for expression of the collective memory used to turn into materialized images of political discourse and official historical narrative of that period. [From the publication]
