Meilė Lukšienė: ugdyti žmogų demokratijai

LTLietuvos švietimo reformos atkūrus Lietuvos nepriklausomybę iniciatorė habil. dr. Meilė Lukšienė apibūdinama kaip socialinis fenomenas, ryškios asmenybės i r naujos socialinės situacijos susitikimo rezultatas. Iškėlusi tautinės mokyklos idėją kaip priešprieša, sovietinei mokyklai, M. Lukšienė pagrindė ugdymą demokratijai kaip švietimo nepriklausomoje Lietuvoje tikslą ir atskleidė šio tikslo vertybinį pagrindą. Straipsnyje pažymima, kad šis tikslas yra siekiamybė, kuriai įgyvendinti reikalingos adekvačios ugdymo priemonės. ENThe present article is devoted to the discussion of M. Lukšienė's ideas with reference to the aims of general and school education under the new circumstances of recently regained Independence as well as in the period that followed immediately after it. On M. Lukšienė's initiative, the conceptual image of the national school was put forward at that time ; in later years though it got transformed into the idea of educating people to live according to the principles of democracy, with values - based orientation of education as the underlying component. The author of the article argues that the values - based aim of education has not yet been achieved due to intrinsic and extrinsic reasons there has not yet been identified adequate and theoretically underpinned ways and means for that kind of education.
