ENThe article writes about problems of subsistence and person’s spiritual life described in works of Lithuanian educologists and philosophers who wrote about youth. Conception of person’s subsistence by Jovaiša is underlined. It reveals the interpretation of the essence of subsistence and the methods for their recognition. Thoughts of interpreted authors regarding harmony of a universe as a spiritual phenomenon and the place of a person in space of universe. It attempts ascertaining the essence of Existence and Being and discusses the factors that determine the state and change of everything that subsists. It provides an interpretation of the essence of a person and ones place on Earth.
