Slaugytojų kompetencijos kaitos tendencijos visuomenės poreikių raidos kontekste

LTSlaugytojo, dirbančio bendruomenėje ar paciento šeimoje, kompetencija įgyja vis didesnę vertę. Keičiantis visuomenės poreikiams plečiasi šių specialistų paslaugų įvairovė. Slaugytojų kompetencijos vertinimo tyrimas yra nauja ir Lietuvoje mažai nagrinėta tema. Slaugytojų studijų programos, kintant visuomenės poreikiams, apskritai niekada nebuvo nagrinėtos, t. y. nebuvo lyginamos pagal išsilavinimo lygį, programų planus, turinį ir suteikiamą profesinę kvalifikaciją. Tema aktuali tuo požiūriu, kad nuo slaugytojų išsilavinimo ir visuomenės poreikių kaitos priklauso tai, kokios paslaugos teikiamos, kokia jų kokybė ir prieinamumas paslaugų gavėjams. Tai turi didelę įtaką visos sveikatos priežiūros sistemos kokybei. Tyrimo tikslas – įvertinti slaugytojų kompetencijų kaitą atsižvelgiant į kintančius visuomenės poreikius. Vykdant tyrimą buvo atlikta mokslinės literatūros, mokslinių publikacijų ir teisės aktų analizė, 3 skirtingų išsilavinimo lygių studijų programų turinio analizė ir lyginimas, 120 slaugytojų ir 120 pacientų apklausa pagal pateiktą klausimyną. Tyrimo rezultatai rodo, kad slaugytojai, baigę medicinos mokyklas prieš 20–40 metų, įgijo mažiau kompetencijų. Tuo metu bendrosios praktikos slaugytojų programą baigę slaugytojai įgijo naujų bendrųjų bei specialiųjų – vadybos, administravimo, pedagogikos, psichologijos, sociologijos ir kitų – kompetencijų. ENThe competence of a nurse working in the community or a patient’s family acquires an increasingly greater value. As the needs of the society change, the range of services provided by these specialists expands. The study on the assessment of the competence of nurses is a new topic little analysed in Lithuania. Although the needs of the society changed, study programmes for nurses have never been analysed in general, i.e. the level of education, plans of programmes, content and awarded professional qualification have not been compared. The topic is relevant because changes in the education of nurses and the needs of the society determine what services are provided, what their quality and availability to service recipients is. It has a great influence on the quality of the entire healthcare system. The aim of the study was to assess the change in the competences of nurses taking into account the changing needs of the society. In the course of the study, the analysis of scientific literature, scientific publications and legal acts, the analysis and comparison of the content of study programmes at three different education levels were performed; a questionnaire-based survey of 120 nurses and 120 patients was conducted. The results of the study show that nurses who graduated from medical schools 20–40 years ago acquired fewer competences. Whereas nurses who graduated from the programme of general care nurses acquired new generic and special competences, i.e. competences in the areas of management, administration, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, etc. It was established that services provided by the latter better match the needs of the society.
