EN[...] The aim of the article is to try out the effectiveness of coaching and its practical application in the process of integration of the unemployed into the work market. "Effective" is being understood as "adequate to accomplish a purpose" in this article. Effectiveness has been measured throughout the entire process of research - in the process of consulting, attempt to analyze the situation and evaluation of particular changes between the initial situation (before the application of coaching) and the outcome (after an unemployed has been consulted applying coaching). Method of analysis of scientific sources has been used in the process of production of the article as well as analysis of the research (both autobiographical and reflection methods). After the research had been conducted, the following findings were pointed out: 1. As a style of consulting, coaching unites a number of known and well-used techniques that are aimed at development of one's personal skills as well as at comprehension of one's personal features and self-realization. In the process of consulting, a mutual trust is being established. As an outcome of this process an opportunity to agree upon the most suitable solutions occur. The final result of it is the client's increasing self-esteem, stronger belief in his/her abilities to compete in the work market, altered attitude towards possible ways to solve the situation. 2. Coaching is a process that is oriented towards the development of one's activities, motivation and making solutions.A consultant only supports an unemployed person by asking him/ her questions and leading him/her making solutions and taking responsibility for them. 3. The effectiveness of coaching is being influenced by the variety of consulting styles and their combinations as well as by proper usage of these styles. Application of coaching for better integration of the unemployed into the work market is effective, because: it forces an unemployed to analyze his/her situation and make a solution concerning his/her future; the unemployed who has made a solution and taken responsibility for the way he/she has chosen to integrate him/herself into the work market cannot blame the consultant for the improper plan of integration into the work market he/she has proposed or a new occupation he/ she suggested to the unemployed, etc.; it increases the quality of consulting atmosphere; it forces an unemployed to trust him/herself and find his/her capacities that have been hidden before; it changes the way both a consultant and an unemployed think, and that influences the relationship between them. 4. If coaching were to be applied as a consulting style by the Labor Exchange Office, it would change the relationship between this institution and the unemployed and enhance effective results, because it would help the unemployed to realize the situation they are in, clarify the reasons for the occurrence of this situation and plan the ways to solve the problem of their unemployment.
