ENTourism in some countries is an underlying economy branch and the main source of revenue. Recently years much more attention is paid to in-coming and local tourism in Lithuania, but still there are lots of spare niches. It is important to understand the significance of the tourism sector and to assess its place in the economical country system. The article contains revenue analysis generated by the two forms of tourism (in-coming and local). Also it indicates the development of tourism to the economic relationship between the individual and regional economic indicators of growth. Analyzing the factors affecting economy in the scientific literature about tourism sector, a contribution to economic diversification, the revenue from foreign acquisition, the creation of new workplaces are emphasized. The influence of tourism on economics has been considered by plenty of authors; however there is not any uniform classification of factors affecting the economical rates of the country. It is worth to distinguish the indirect influence of tourism on economics or so called by scientists the "multiplier effect", which expresses itself as the circulation of consumption of tourism services within a region. In other words, development of tourism makes an indirect effect also on such spheres of activities as environmental protection, transport, agriculture, small and medium businesses.A detailed analysis of income received from incoming and local tourism allows us assessment the dynamics of the fluctuation of the rates of this branch of economy in the respective regions, discussing the level of its effects on regional economics and the total contribution to the state budget. Appropriation of income from tourism activities in different regions of Lithuania has been assessed in the article. There is discussed percentage distribution of travellers' expenses per one package of tourism services, i.e. expenses for transport, catering, accommodation, shopping and other services. Also, the ratio of income, received from personal and business trips and their change dynamics within the last years are elaborated. A tendentious increase of income from tourism business has been observed within the period under consideration. Having compared the income received from incoming and local tourism, more income is received from the latter form of tourism, although assessing the total ratio, the income of both local and incoming tourism increase approximately 22 percent yearly.
