Kolegijos studentų ir dėstytojų savybių vertinimas tolerantiškumo aspektu
LTViena demokratinės visuomenės vertybių yra tolerancija. Pasaulis kupinas įvairovės, todėl tolerancija būtina kiekvienai žmonių grupei, šeimai, bendruomenei, tautai. Kaip demokratinę mąstyseną ir elgseną reikia ugdyti, taip reikia ugdyti ir toleranciją. Tai - vienas svarbiausių šiandienos ugdymo įstaigos uždavinių, nes šiuolaikiniame pasaulyje ji vaidina svarbesnį vaidmenį negu kada nors anksčiau. Tolerancijos, kaip ir viso ugdymo, sėkmė daug priklauso nuo pedagogo kryptingo darbo ir ypač nuo jo asmenybės savybių, nes tolerancijos gali mokyti tik tolerantiška asmenybė. Šiame straipsnyje aptariamos tolerantiško žmogaus savybės, nes pedagogas turi padėti besimokantiems asmenims suprasti tikrąsias žmonių tarpusavio bendravimo vertybes, atrasti bendrus interesus ir tuo pat metu gerbti skirtybes, ugdyti tolerantišką požiūrį į kitos rasės, socialinės padėties, tikėjimo žmones. ENTolerance is the basic value of democratic society. The world is full of diversities, therefore tolerance is necessary for every human group, family, community, nation. Tolerance education is especially important to institutions training teachers. The success of tolerance education is conditioned by personality qualities of the pedagogue, because only a tolerant personality can educate tolerance. The aim of this research is to reveal the qualities of tolerant personality based on self evaluation of students and teachers at Marijampolė College.The objectives of the research are the following: to define the conception of tolerance prevailing at College, to analyze the qualities of teachers and students on tolerance aspect. The findings of the research have shown that two conceptions of tolerance are acceptable for the respondents of both groups - students and teachers. The conception that tolerance is a respect and acknowledgment of the right to a different opinion, convictions prevails at college. Another conception defining tolerance as a positive evaluation of different opinion, attitudes and convictions is in the second position. The majority of the surveyed students seek agreement with people, respect different opinions and distinctive behaviour, try not to violate rights of other people, not to give way to anger, not to use compulsion. These qualities are peculiar to a tolerant personality. Majority of the surveyed teachers respect students' opinion, attitudes, convictions, encourage their self-valuation and self-respect. Teachers possessing such qualities make favourable conditions for tolerance development. [From the publication]
