LTTyrimo tikslas - atskleisti bendrojo lavinimo ir jaunimo mokyklų mokinių socialinių įgūdžių raišką. Tyrimas apklausos metodu atliktas bendrojo lavinimo (ištirti 58 mokiniai) ir jaunimo mokyklose (ištirti 71 mokiniai). Palygintas bendrojo lavinimo ir jaunimo mokyklų mokinių socialinių įgūdžių lygis ir poreikis juos lavinti. Nustatyta, kad jaunimo mokyklų mokiniai nuo savo bendraamžių, besimokančių bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose, aiškiai skiriasi pagal šiuos socialinius įgūdžius: gebėjimo save pažinti, bendravimo ir bendradarbiavimo, gebėjimo paprašyti pagalbos, gebėjimo pasakyti ką jauti. Bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų mokinių įgūdžių lygis yra aukštesnis. ENThe present paper provides the analysis of the research problem how school stimulates the formation of social skills, expands or limits personal ability to accept independent decisions, to express personal views and to say what you feel. The topicality of the work is based on the fact that studies commonly analyze the peculiarities of training social skills among youth schools. The purpose of this study was to reveal the special features of social skills among the students of youth and secondary schools. The study (questionnaire method) is carried out in youth schools (71 students were tested) and secondary schools (58 students were tested). The results of the study are compared with the results of the study employing the same procedure in the secondary schools. It becomes clear that the students of the youth schools differ statistically from students of secondary schools according to the level of the following social skills: to know oneself, to communicate and co-operate, to ask for help, to tell what one feels, i.e. the level of social skills among students of secondary schools was higher. The comparison of research results determined that students of youth and secondary schools statistically significant (p<0.01) difference according to the need to train the following social skills: to know oneself, to communicate and co-operate, to express personal opinion, to ask for help, to tell what one feels, - the need among students of secondary schools to train social skills is higher than the one among students of youth schools.
