Priežodis "Ant to peilio boba Rygon nujotų" : mitologinė vaizdo interpretacija

LTStraipsnyje pristatyti ir išanalizuoti tiriamojo priežodžio variantai lietuvių kalba ir atitikmenys, kiek pavyko jų rasti, dar penkiomis Europos tautų kalbomis: lenkų, rusų, anglų, vokiečių, olandų. Lyginant įvairių kalbų tekstus nustatyta, kad jų reikšmė ir vartojimo aplinkybės (pagal turėtus komentarus ir artimiausią kalbinį kontekstą) sutampa. Didesne įvairove pasižymi leksinė sudėtis, kuri gana marga net tos pačios kalbos tekstų, tačiau nuosekliai kartojasi integruojantys pradai: jojimo ant peilio motyvas, nuogumo motyvas, konkretus vietovardis. Šie argumentai leidžia spėti apie visų atitikmenų genetinį ryšį, tuo labiau kad juos vartojusios (kai kurios ir tebevartojančios) tautos turėjo panašius ar identiškus tikėjimus ir papročius. Straipsnyje detaliau aptariamas raganos personažas, kuris tiesiogiai susijęs su tiriamojo priežodžio meninio vaizdo kilme. Apytiksliai galima nustatyti posakio amžių. XVIII amžiuje užfiksuoti du tekstai skirtingomis kalbomis (vokiečių ir anglų) įrodo, kad tuo laiku posakis jau buvo gerai žinomas ir išplitęs bent germanų kraštuose. Artimiausi pirmykščiam modeliui, t. y. išlaikę mitinio pasaulio realijas, yra tik keli tekstai vokiečių ir olandų kalbomis. Kituose atitikmenyse raganą pakeitė įvardis. Birutė Jasiūnaitė nustatė, kad lietuvių tarmėse ir tautosakoje mitologinė leksika išsiskiria eufemistinių substitutų gausa. ENThe article presents and analyses different variants of a Lithuanian saying and its equivalents in five European languages: Polish, Russian, English, German and Dutch. The comparison of texts in different languages showed the coincidence between their meaning and circumstances of use (as seen from available comments and the closest linguistic context). There is a bigger variety of lexical composition, which is rich in texts of the same language, and there is consistent repetition of integrating first elements: a motive of riding on the knife, nudity and a concrete location. These arguments suggest that there is a genetic link between the equivalents, especially because the nations which used (or still use) them had similar or identical religion and customs. The article pays a more detailed attention to the witch as a character which is directly related to the origin of an artistic image of the saying. It is possible to determine an approximate age of the saying. Two texts registered in the 18th century in different languages (German and English) show that at the time the saying was well known and widespread at least in the German regions. The closest to the original model, i.e. maintaining the mythic world reality, are only several texts in German and Dutch languages. In other equivalents, the noun witch was changed by an adjective. Birutė Jasiūnaitė found out that in Lithuanian dialects and folklore the mythological lexis is rich in euphemistic substitutes. Hence the word “boba” (or more rarely “žydelka” or “merga”) are euphemistic substitutes of the witch: this original detail is characteristic only of Lithuanian texts.
