Mentoriaus vaidmuo Lietuvos mokykloje : teorinės ir praktinės dimensijos

LTMentorius, kaip profesijos mokytojas, pasaulyje egzistuoja jau daugelį metų rengiant įvairių specialybių praktikantų globėjus. Tačiau mentoriaus vaidmuo šiandieninėje Lietuvos mokykloje dar mažai tyrinėtas. Vykdant „Studijų praktikos ir pradedančių dirbti mokytojų globos sistemos tobulinimo“ projektą, Lietuvoje parengti pirmieji kvalifikuoti mentoriai. Straipsnyje analizuojamas profesionalių mentorių ir tik praktine veikla besiremiančių mokytojų, globojančių būsimuosius pedagogus, požiūris į mentoriaus vaidmenį ugdymo procese, įvertinama mentorių rengimo programos svarba. Nors pagrindinė mentoriaus veikla yra globa, tačiau kvalifikuotas mentorius privalo atlikti kelis vaidmenis: pažinti praktikantą, jį remti, konsultuoti, padėti planuoti, reflektuoti praktinę veiklą. Refleksija skatina pedagogą įsigilinti į savo veiklą, gebėjimą imtis veiksmų tobulėti. Refleksijos procese, kai praktikantas ir mentorius lygiavertiškai bendrauja bei bendradarbiauja, svarbiausia - aukšta mentoriaus profesinė kompetencija bei globotinio imlumas. Siekiant ištirti būsimų mentorių bei praktikantų mokytojų požiūrį į mentoriaus kompetencijas, apklaustas 21 pedagogas, nedalyvavęs mentorių rengimo programoje, bet globojęs praktikantus, ir 21 pedagogas, dalyvavęs mentorių rengimo programoje. Nustatyta, kad Lietuvoje mentorių rengimo programa yra reikalinga, nes informacijos apie mentoriaus veiklos esmę, vaidmenį, funkcijas ir kompetencijas mokytojams, globojantiems praktikantus, labai trūksta. ENMentor has existed in the world as an instructor of profession for many years while training the tutors for trainees of various specialities. However, the role of a mentor in the present-day Lithuanian school has been little explored so far. The first qualified mentors were trained in Lithuania during the implementation of the project “Improvement of the study practice and mentoring system of novice teachers”. The paper analyses the attitude of professional mentors and teachers who rely only on their practice, who act as tutors for future teachers, towards the role of a mentor in the education process, as well as evaluates the importance of the mentor training programme. Although the key function of a mentor is tutoring, a qualified mentor must perform several roles: to know, support and consult the trainee, help to plan and reflect practice. Reflection induces a teacher to get deeper into his activity and promotes the ability to take action for improvement. In the process of reflection, when a trainee and a mentor communicate and cooperate on equal terms, most important is a high professional competence of a mentor and the trainee’s receptivity. Seeking to explore the attitude of future mentors and novice teachers towards the mentor’s competences, 21 teachers who did not take part in the mentor training programme but tutored trainees and 21 teachers who took part in the mentor training programme were interviewed. The research established that a mentor training programme was necessary in Lithuania, because teachers who tutor trainees greatly miss information about the essence of mentor’s activity, role, functions and competences. They rely only on experience acquired when teaching rather than through special scientific knowledge.
