Avinėlio simbolio metamorfozė sakralinėje ir pasaulietinėje dailėje

LTStraipsnyje aptariama avinėlio simbolio sklaida sakralinėje ir pasaulietinėje dailėje. Įvadinėje dalyje analizuojama "Agnus Dei" simbolika krikščioniškojoje ikonografijoje. Antroje dalyje siekiama atskleisti avinėlio motyvo prasmines konotacijas šiuolaikiniame mene. Analizuoti pasirinkti Eimanto Ludavičiaus darbai, kurių pagrindinis motyvas - avelė. Vienišos avies motyvo varijavimas Ludavičiui yra būdas konceptualiai reflektuoti chrestomatines šiuolaikinio meno bei biomedicinos mokslo ikonas ir kartu galimybė vizualizuoti visuomenei vis būdingesnius vienatvės bei atskirties pavidalus. Interpretuojant šio autoriaus kūrinius bandoma išsiaiškinti, kokią reikšmę jiems "perskaityti" turi klasikinio krikščioniškosios ikonografijos paveldo reminiscencijos. ENThe figure of a lamb can often be found in the classic sacral iconography, carrying a rather straight-forward interpretation - the symbol of Eucharist, an innocent and silent sacrifice. In a broader sense, the white lamb is a perfect paragon of calm and humility, representing purity and goodness. The introductory part of the report analyzes the genesis and meaning's variations of this symbol in the traditional sacral iconography. The second part looks at the metamorphoses of the lamb symbol in contemporary Lithuanian art. At the center of this analysis are the works of Eimantas Ludavičius, who has chosen a lamb as him main motive. Traditional Christian iconography is insufficient when interpreting the works of this author: they bare a palimpsest of sublimated personal meanings and implications, where symbols from literature (the Old and the New Testaments and the tradition of pastoral poetry) and advertising industry (the constantly escalated story of Dolly the sheep and related discourse in bioethics) are intertwined. Variation of the lonely sheep theme is a way Ludavičius conceptually reflects the icons of contemporary art, science and technology and at the same time - his attempts to portray the problems of loneliness, separation and the fragility of existence. The new notional codes and associative links become the non-conflicting connotations to the heritage of the traditional Christian iconography and encourage to consider the new possible interpretations of the traditional symbol and present a new attitude towards it. The article also discusses the influence of the purpose and the context of the exhibition upon the possible interpretations of a motive: a piece placed in sacral space gains additional meanings, even if the author did not consciously include them.
