The strategy of comparative analysis in the context of poetry translation.
LTStraipsnyje įvardijamos problemos, kylančios verčiant poeziją. Remiantis lyginamosios analizės strategija, pateikiami galimi jų sprendimo būdai: (1) teorinė apžvalga ir (2) praktinė (empirinė) dalis. Akcentuojama, kad poezijos vertimas buvo ir yra bene problemiškiausia vertimų sritis, kurią išanalizuoti galima (tik) lyginant originalo (OK) ir vertimo kalbos (VK) tekstus. Straipsnyje įvardijami vertimo lygmenys, kurių parinkimą lemia eilėraščio tipas ir pateikiamos svarbiausios iliustracinės schemos. Prieita prie išvados, kad vertėjas, negalėdamas perteikti eilėraščio visumos literatūrologine, ar semiotine, lyginamąja analize, turėtų išskirti svarbiausius eilėraščio prasmės komponentus ir stengtis, kad jie išliktų nepakitę vertime. ENThe article states the problems, which arise when translating poetry. Referring to the comparative analysis strategy, the potential ways for resolution of the problems are presented: (1) the theoretic overview and (2) practical (empirical) part. The article emphasizes that translation of poetry has been and still is one of the most problematic areas of translation, which can be analyzed only by comparison of texts of the original language and the language of translation. The article states the level of translation, the selection of which is determined by the type of poem and provides the most important illustration schemes. The conclusion is made that the translator, who is not able to render the entirety of the poem by providing a literary or semiotic comparative analysis, should distinguish the most important components of the meaning of the poem and attempt to retain them unchanged in the translation, which is evidenced by the splendid examples of translation of poetry.
