Vilniaus literatūrinės akvatorijos matmenys

LTKokią vietą lietuvių ir lenkų literatūrinėje sąmonėje užima Vilniaus vandenys, o visų pirma - upės Neris (Vilija, Velia) ir Vilnia (Vilnelė, Vilenka, Vilejka)? Ar tai tik topografiniai ženklai vietovių, kur "gyvena" personažai, kur vyksta kūrinių veiksmas, ar taip pat - simboliški dvasinės erdvės orientyrai? Vanduo - kaip esminis gyvybės elementas - turi daug įvairių mitologinių ir kultūrinių prasmių. Ar jos gretintinos ir su Vilniaus vandenų įvaizdžiais? Lietuvių, lenkų literatūrose Vilniaus upės minamos labai seniai, bet tai daugiausia siejosi su miesto - Gediminaičių lopšio, Lietuvos sostinės - įkūrimu ir pilių, fortifikacijų lokalizacija. Neries (Vilijos) mitologizavimas sietinas su vardo etimologijos paieškomis (liet. - nerti, vilnyti), etnografų tyrinėjimais ir su literatūroje įtvirtintais įvaizdžiais. Straipsnyje šiuo aspektu daugiausia nagrinėjama lietuvių ir lenkų literatūros medžiaga, A. Mickevičiaus, W. Syrokomlės, K.I. Galczyiiskio, Cz. Miloszo, V. Daunio, R. Gavclio, J. Kunčino ir kt. lenkų ir lietuvių rašytojų kūriniai. Siekiama suformuluoti bendrąjį temų (topikos) repertuarą ir palyginti, kaip Vilniaus vandenų įvaizdžiai koresponduoja su kitų literatūrinių erdvių (pvz., Peterburgo, Venecijos) akvatorijomis. ENWhat is the place of the waters of Vilnius, specifically the River Neris (Vilija, Velja) and the River Vilnia (Vilnelė, Vilenka, Vilejka), in Lithuanian and Polish literary consciousness? Arc they only topographical signs of the areas where characters "dwell" and the action of writings takes place, or are they symbolical marks of spiritual space as well? Water as a fundamental element of life has various mythological and cultural implications. Could they be compared with the images of the waters of Vilnius? Lithuanian and Polish literature mentioned the rivers of Vilnius a long while ago; however, they were mostly related to the foundation of the city - Gediminias' cradle and the capital of Lithuania - as well as the localization of castles and fortifications. The mythologization of the Neris (Vilija) should be associated with the searches for the etymology of its name (in Lithuanian nerti, vilnyti meaning "dive, wave" in English), researches of ethnographers, and images embedded in literature. The study mainly examines this aspect in literary materials and writings by A. Mickiewicz, K.I. Galczynski, Cz. Milosz, V. Daunys, R. Gavelis, J. KunSinas, and other Lithuanian and Polish authors. It aims at formulating a general repertory of themes /topoi/ as well as comparing how the images of the waters of Vilnius correspond with the water areas of other literary spaces (e.g. St. Petersburg, Venice).
