Radvilų ikonografijos fragmentai

LTLietuvos archeologinė ir medicininė antropologija dar neturi didesnės istorinių asmenybių identifikavimo patirties, juo labiau palaikų gretinimo su atvaizdais praktikos. Kitaip tariant, konkretaus asmens atvaizdo ir palaikų susiejimas mūsų istoriografijoje nebuvo specialiai fiksuotas, o juo labiau išskleistas. Straipsnyje norima išsiaiškinti, kaip atvaizdai ir jų analizė gali padėti identifikuoti palaikus (darbe remiamasi prielaida, jog 2003-2004 m. archeologinių, istorinių bei antropologinių tyrimų metu Dubingių piliakalnio kapavietėje buvo rasti Mikalojaus Radvilos Rudojo (1515-1584), Mikalojaus Radvilos Juodojo (1515-1565), Elžbietos Šidloveckos-Radvilienės (1533-1562), Mikalojaus Radvilos (apie 1546-1589), Jonušo Radvilos (1579-1620), Onos Radvilienės-Sobkovnos (?-1578) ir Mikalojaus Radvilos (1575-1577) palaikai). Atsižvelgiant į atliktų tyrimų rezultatus šiame darbe aptariami Dubingiuose palaidotųjų Radvilų portretai (taip norima atverti minėtiems tyrimams aktualų ikonografinį kontekstą); įvertinami žinomi minėtų asmenų atvaizdai antropologinio autentiškumo aspektu; nurodomos tolimesnių šio pobūdžio tyrimų kryptys ir perspektyvos. Renkant Dubingių Radvilų atvaizdus, analizuojant jų kilmę ir pobūdį, paaiškėjo, kad daugelis jų yra tarpusavyje giminingi, priklauso tam tikroms „kolekcijoms“ arba ikonografinės grupėms. ENThe topic has been inspired by assumptions raised during archaeological, historical and anthropologic research in 2003-2004 in Dubingiai that the remains of Mikalojus Radvila the Brown (1515-1584), Mikalojus Radvila the Black (1515-1565), Elžbieta Sidlovecka-Radziwill (1533-1562), Mikalojus Radvila (about 1546-1589), Jonušas Radvila (1579-1620), Ana Radvila-Sobkovna (?-1578), Mikalojus Radvila (1575-1577) were buried and found in the cemetery of the site of the ancient settlement in Dubingiai. The article discusses the known portraits of representatives of the Radvilos family and tries to assess them from the perspective of anthropologic authenticity. The link between the personal image and the remains was not especially documented in our historiography and elaborated. One must admit that the Lithuanian art criticism has not had a task of analysing representations of images or portraits as possible sources of anthropologic (anatomic) research; i.e. to use critical art analysis to solve issues relating to art criticism as is the tradition of art history but to solve those related to history and anthropology. In this sense art criticism is to partially be re-qualified to deal with image anthropology or research of visual representations of a person. Review of the available iconography of the Radvilos in Dubingiai has shown that it is very uneven both in terms of quantity and authenticity.A large part of known images of the Radvilos of Dubingiai are to be deemed secondary iconographic sources being mainly graphic copies of paintings. To continue research in this direction, what is required is 1) especial search in collections of Vienna museums for painted portraits of Radvila the Black and Radvila the Brown belonging to the collection of Ambrasas Castle; 2) search of sketches for medals and prints in museums and libraries of Austria and Germany; 3) deeper knowledge of the creative work of medal makers J . Deschler and H. Trilner and engravers J . Heyden, G. B. Fontana and D. Custo and to provide comparison of the Radvios portraits with images of other persons created thereby; 4) with the help of historians studying the Radvilos archives to collect information about portrait orders, circumstances of creating them, etc. [From the publication]
