ENThe publication deals with conceptions of arts that developed in the Lithuanian nationalistic discourse. An analysis covers the period, which has been started from the first Lithuanian periodical "Aušra" and formed in the periodical "Varpas" that was headed by Vincas Kudirka and played a nationalistic movement leader's role. The publication is focused at polemics between romanticist and positivistic trends of aesthetic though. It attempts to reveal both differences and similarities of conceptions of art that have been present in the "Aušra" and the" Varpas". [From the publication]
