LTDviejų dalių straipsnyje nagrinėjama Kauno seserų benediktinių vienuolyno pertvarka. Tai gali padėti pažinti praeitį ir geriau suprasti dabartinę šios bendruomenės būklę. Seserys daugiau negu 50 metų laiko savo bendruomenę apaštalinio gyvenimo būdo, vyskupijos teisių vienuolija. Vis dėlto Vatikano pašvęstojo gyvenimo kongregacijos laiškai šią vienuoliją įvardija kaip popiežiškosios teisės, t. y. kontempliatyvaus gyvenimo, vienuolyną. Tad kokių teisių vienuolija tuomet yra ir kokį gyvenimo būdą seserys turėtų gyventi? Šios problemos priežastis ir pradžia - 1918-1926 m. pertvarka. Ji analizuojama istoriniu, regulos, teisiniu, seserų suvokimo požiūriais, kad būtų galima suprasti šiandieninę vienuolyno būklę ir seserų poziciją nagrinėjamais klausimais. ENThe paper aims at the reform of the convent of Benedictine Sisters in Kaunas from 1918 to 1926. It may be helpful in evaluating the present situation of this community. For more than fifty years the Benedictine Sisters have been identifying themselves as an apostolic community of diocesan subordination. However, in the letters of the Congregation of the Consecrated Life the Benedictine Sisters are addressed as cloistered nuns with papal enclosure. In order to solve this incongruity, the reform has been started. To assess the present state of the convent, the issue is approached from the historical and juridical perspective with a particular respect to the Rule and the sisters' perception of their identity.
