Studentų prietarai : tradicijos tąsa ir naujovės

LTStraipsnyje analizuojami šiuolaikinių studentų prietarai - nurodomi populiarūs ar retesni, ieškoma studentų praktikuojamų prietarų analogijų ar šiek tiek panašių dalykų seniau surinktoje medžiagoje (tikėjimuose, sakmėse, burtuose, užkalbėjimuose), taip pat mėginama nustatyti tradicijos tęstinumo ir naujovių santykį. Atlikus tyrimus paaiškėjo, kad šiuolaikiniai studentai dažniausiai praktikuoja prietarus, susijusius su maginiais veiksmais, maldomis prieš egzaminus, skaičių magija, amuletais ar talismanais, bet retai - susijusius su prieš egzaminą aplankančiais sapnais, naujų daiktų, drabužių pirkimu, higienos priemonių naudojimu, tam tikru keliu ar maršrutu. Gretinant tyrimo metu surinktus duomenis apie šiuolaikinių studentų turimus prietarus su tradiciniu folkloru, šiek tiek išryškėjo tradicijos tęstinumo tendencija. Be abejo, tradicija modifikuojama, t. y. papildoma naujovėmis ir pritaikoma šiuolaikinio žmogaus poreikiams. Dažniausiai vyrauja praktinė, apsauginė funkcija. Palyginti su tradicine magija ir tikėjimais, šiuolaikinių studentų prietarai yra kur kas laisvesnio pobūdžio, paprastesni, individualesni, juose sumažėjusi žodžių svarba. Sapnų aiškinimai, prognozuojant ateities rezultatą, naujų daiktų, drabužių įsigijimas, išskirtinis kelias, maršrutas ir maldos tarp studentų yra tos maginio individualizmo sritys, kuriose nejaučiama viešosios informacijos priemonių poveikio, nes tuos dėsningumus jie atranda patys, remdamiesi savo patirtimi. ENThe research deals with the contemporary superstitions practiced at the Vytautas Magnus University student community. The subject of this investigation is students' superstitions related to success or failure at the exams. The purpose of this research is to analyze the basic superstitions, irrational actions or objects that the nowadays students use to ensure success and prevent failure at the exams. It is also important to reveal the attitude of the students themselves towards the actions that they use or convictions that they have formed and to try grasping some indications of the continuation of tradition. The work is based on the material gathered in spring of the 2006, when 100 of the University students were questioned by means of a partly structured interview. The accumulated data was systematized typologically. Various kinds of the students' amulets, omens, and actions allegedly influencing the forthcoming events were discussed. In order to prevent influencing the answers of the respondents, neither concept of superstition nor belief was used in the questionnaire. The concept of superstition was introduced only while systematizing the material, when it became clear that only one fifth of the nowadays students affirmed their sincere belief in the actions they practiced or the objects they possessed. The notion of superstition is perceived in this work as an irrational relic from certain standpoints of the past. In order to seek out some parallels or similarities to the superstitions practiced by the nowadays students, the earlier folklore materials were investigated, and relations between the continuation of tradition and innovations were discovered.
