Vilniaus žemutinės pilies numizmatiniai radiniai (1999-2001 m.)

LTStraipsnyje teigiama, kad apie Vilniaus Žemutinės pilies teritorijoje rastus numizmatikos radinius jau buvo aprašyta. Tada daugiau dėmesio buvo skirta 1994–1995, 1996–1998 ir 2001 m. radiniams. Autorius savo straipsnyje tęsia numizmatikos radinių pristatymą, bet apsiriboja tik trejų metų laikotarpio duomenimis. 1999–2001 m. Vilniaus Žemutinės pilies teritorijoje, vykdant archeologinius tyrimus, surinkti 483 numizmatiniai radiniai. Konstatuojama, kad numizmatiniai radiniai rasti: Katedros aikštėje, Gedimino kalno vakarinėje papėdėje, Valdovų rūmų teritorijoje. Monetos katedros aikštėje buvo rastos aikštės restauravimo metu. Čia monetos rastos dideliame teritorijos plote. Pastebima, kad Gedimino kalno vakarinėje papėdėje buvo tęsiami nuo 1997 m. pradėti archeologiniai tyrimai, o Valdovų rūmų tyrinėjimai vyko jau 15 metų, bet didžiausias kiekis monetų buvo rastas 2001 m. Monetų paieškai buvo naudojamas metalo detektorius. Kaip teigiama straipsnyje, šio prietaiso panaudojimas 2–3 kartus padidina monetų radimo tikimybę. Atkreipiamas dėmesys, kad didžiausia monetų dalis 1999–2001 m. rasta viršutiniame sluoksnyje, t.y. 1 m. gylyje. Rastų monetų įvairovę sudarė XIX – XX a., XVII – XVIII a. ir net XVI a. monetos. Tokius radinius lėmė tai, kad toje teritorijoje vyko žemės darbai, kurių metu gilesni žemės sluoksniai buvo iškelti į paviršių, lyginti ir kt. Straipsnyje atskiras dėmesys skiriamas retesnėms monetoms. ENNumismatic findings - coins and tokens - discovered in the territory of the Vilnius Lower Castle in 1999-2001 are discussed in the article. The findings were discovered in three places of the Lower Castle - in Cathedral Square (85 items in 1999-2000), western foot of Gediminas Hill - in the place of officina III of the Radziwiłł palace (5 items in 1999) and in the territory of the Rulers' Palace (390 items in 1999-2001) (see Table 1). Their dating covers the period from the end of the 14th century to the middle of the 20th century. In the article the discussion of the findings is arranged according to the centuries. Main attention is devoted to the coins that are rarer found in the territory of the castle or Lithuania. All coins of the new rulers or nominations found in the territory of the Lower Castle for the first time (their number totalled several dozens) are discussed. Also, those coins, which are exceptional not only for that object but also for Vilnius and Lithuania, are accentuated. Coins of the Golden Horde, Spain, the Netherlands, the USA, Shaumburg, Scotland and Switzerland were found in the territory of the Vilnius Lower Castle for the first time. Exceptional findings for Lithuania are as follows: the brass pul of Djanibek (1342-1357) of the Golden Horde and the groat of Shaumberg (found for the first time) of the beginning of the 17th century, as well as brass coins of Aleksi Michailovich of Russia, which are found only in the territory of the Lower Castle, and several other coins, of which just a few pieces have been found.
