Altarglezna "Dievmate ar Bernu" no Svetas Jaunavas Marijas piedzinšanas bazilikas Šiluva galvena altara : vesture, izpete un restauracija

LTŠiluvos bazilikos istorija, taip pat kaip ir jos altorinio paveikslo kilmė bei istorija, daugeliui tapo suprantama ne tik dokumentuotų įvykių kontekste, bet ir dėl Švč. Mergelės Marijos apsireiškimo Šiluvoje pasakojimo. Straipsnyje stengtasi kritiškai išanalizuoti kūrinio "Dievo Motina su kūdikėliu" istoriją, tačiau altorinis paveikslas nebuvo tyrinėjamas kaip meno kūrinys. Anksčiausias istorinis dokumentas, susijęs su paveikslu, yra 1646 m. vyskupo Jurgio Tiškevičiaus pateikta informacija apie malonėmis garsėjantį paveikslą Šiluvos bažnyčioje. Iš pradžių paveikslas buvo mažesnis, vėliau prijungta apatinė dalis. Iki šiol išlieka paslaptimi kas užsakė sukurti paveikslą ir kada jis pasirodė Šiluvoje. Svarbu, kad paveikslas sukurtas dvasinio aktyvumo, koncentravimosi ir harmonijos siekimo laikas - šias savybes kūrinys išsaugojo bėgant metams. Nors ir nutapytas akademiškai neištobulinta maniera, paveikslas pasižymi įtaigumu, kilnumu ir subtilumu. 2001 m. Prano Gudyno restauracijos centre pradėta jo restauracija suteikė galimybę išstudijuoti paveikslo istoriją, išanalizuoti technines charakteristikas, sukūrimo laikotarpio meninį ir ikonografinį kontekstą, kuris susijęs ne tik su Lietuvos meno istorija, bet ir su katalikiškos bažnyčios praktikuotu paveikslų garbinimu.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Šiluva; Švč. ENThe origins and history of the basilica of Šiluva and the painting on its altar became known to most not only in the context of documented events, but also due to the story of visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Šiluva. The article makes attempts at providing a critical analysis of the story of the painting “The Mother of God with Baby Jesus”, however it is not examined as a work of art. The earliest historical document, related with the painting is the information on the graceful painting in the basilica of Šiluva, provided by bishop Jurgis Tiškevičius in 1646. In the beginning the painting was smaller, but later the lower part was incorporated into it. The commissioner of the painting and the time of its appearance in Šiluva still remain secret. It is important that the painting was created in the times of striving for spiritual activity, concentration and harmony – the traits were preserved by the painting in the course of years. Although painted in an academically sketchy manner, the painting distinguishes with punch, sublimity and subtlety. The restoration of the painting, which was commenced in Pranas Gudynas’s restoration centre in 2001, provided the possibility to study its history, analyze its technical characteristics, the artistic and iconographical context of the time period of its creation, which is related both with the history of Lithuanian art and the worship of paintings, practiced by the Catholic Church.
